So This Is Christmas

Merry late Christmas everyone. We have been pretty busy since the holidays with the usual - making room for new toys, watching bowl games, watching LSU beat the mess out of Notre Dame.

We spent the week before Christmas in Tuscaloosa visiting my family and spending as much time as possible holding that new little baby Savannah. We left on the Saturday before Christmas and drove until we got back to San Antonio - only 13 hours - and pulled into the driveway at 2 AM on Christmas Eve morning. That gave us enough time on Sunday to get some food to cook on Christmas and do some last minute shopping. As you can see below, Santa was very good to everyone. I will also be posting more pics as I receive them from my brother and mom.

One other thing to address - Coach Nick Saban. Certain members of my family (cough, cough, Aunt Rhonda, cough, cough) have asked for a retraction of my posts earlier last month concerning Alabama never being able to high a top-tier coach. Perhaps I should have clarified the "they are never going to attract a top-tier coach" statement with "unless they offer him $32 mil over 4 years." That's a lot of dough and I can only imagine the grief he will get if he doesn't win and win soon. In any case, I am happy for Alabama to get a coach and happy that our rivalry just became even bigger.
