The Past Couple of Weeks

Good Sunday Night everyone. It has been a busy couple of weeks in San Antonio. A couple of weeks ago, I found out for sure that I would be headed to become one of the Area Defense Counsels for Lackland AFB. This means I will be one of three defense counsels for military members at the base. I am looking forward to it - it should be interesting. Kerrie's job also continues to go well. You'll be hearing more about it in the coming months.

Last week, Morgan tried out for a club-level soccer team. After two excruciating days, she got the call that she made the team. She is most excited. Her teams travels all over San Antonio, and also to Austin and Houston for tournaments. Her first tournament is this coming weekend. Pictures will follow shortly thereafter.

As for Karlyle, she can now recognize every letter of the alphabet, write about 1/4 of them, and knows all their sounds. She is quite proud of herself. She will also be starting soccer this spring. We bought her first set of cleats and shinguards this week. We call them shinguards only because that is technically what they are - in reality, they are really thighguards.

Last weekend, we hosted our first Super Bowl (all rights reserved) party. All told, we had over 30 at the house - about 1/3 of them kids. Thank goodness for 68 degree weather or the house might never have been the same. Thankfully, everything survived but, as is usually the case, I completely forgot to get out the camera so we have nothing to show for it.

Oh well, we did take some pictures last week of the girls all made up and ready for church. Also, we finished up some picture hanging in our bedroom. This weekend we painted hearts and flowers on K's walls. We'll take some pics and put those up this week.

Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great week! And Geaux Tigers - #2-#5 recruiting class (depending on who you ask).
