Day 3 - MGM Studios

Monday was MGM Studios. We started off see the Cars riding down the road and then caught a great stunt show that included car and motorcycle chases, explosions and car jumps. They would then show how it was made. Mo put it best when she said, "Wow...movies are really fake." Anyway, from there we took the backlot tour (cool old stuff), rode the Star Wars ride (disappointing), and saw live shows of Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney.

Lightning and Mater were going really slow.

No, we weren't really in San Francisco.

On the backlot tour, we passed the set graveyards. Here are the bone cages used in the 2nd Pirates movie.

The steamroller from Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

The motorcycles from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

The landskiff from Return of the Jedi. Very cool.

Snowspeeder. Even more cool.

K and Mo on the Landspeeder.

This is one of the actual costumes worn during the original filming of the first trilogy.

Derek will appreciate this one. Superman II lives.

This one is for Derek too. The Duke in the Greatest Movies ride.

This clip is for Pop. That's one big rock.

Here are the girls lost in Narnia.

Welcome welcome welcome to the big blue house....

K enjoying the Playhouse Disney show.

Here is K dancing her jig at the show.

This set was in the backlot tour. A big explosion just happened (hence the flames) and then....

the water came....
