K's Storybook Program
Last week, K's class performed a skit based on the children's book "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?" Basically, it goes through a long list of animals and each animal hears a different animal as you go through the book. K got the part of an elephant which I am quite sure will make her Poppa quite happy. Both don't worry LSU fans - there was no tiger in the book.
K the Elephant.
And unmasked.
Here is K's part.
Once they go through all of the animals, the zookeeper then goes through the whole list...complete with animal sounds. K was very impressive.
San Antonio Zoo
A few weeks ago, the girls and I made a Sunday trip to the city zoo. Here are the pictures from the first half of the visit. The second half of the trip went without pictures since the camera battery ran out. Imagine elephants, tigers, and zebras.
K and her flamingos.
The bears. K thought the grizzly on the right needed a manicure.
Mini-Gators. Weird.
The girls with a Jag.
Mo feeding the birds.
K wasn't too sure about it at first....
Especially when she made a sudden move with her hand. The bird took off and actually landed on her head. She thought that was way too funny. Of course, her laughing made the bird fly off her head before I could take a picture.
Taking a picture and feeding a bird at the same time = talent.
